The Aggies (9-0) took two victories in reining then won three of the four in horsemanship to protect their unblemished record.
The teams split four reining rides, with A&M taking the victory by the slimmest of margins in raw score, 285-284.5. The Aggies picked up victories from junior Becca Murray, 70-69.5 over Kolby Simonson, and sophomore Lindsey Bernbaum, 72-70 over Sam Bayer.
The horsemanship squad iced the overall team victory, earning three points on the night. Leading the way was senior Kelsey Adams, who earned MVP honors after a 73.5-69 win over TCU's Alexie Estrada. Also victorious in horsemanship were junior Amanda Brightwell, 70-69 over Callie Rouse, and senior Katie Lisabeth, 71.5-71 over Taylor Prince.
The next action for Aggie equestrian is when senior Maggie Earle represents Texas A&M in the Winter Equestrian Festival's Collegiate Equitation Challenge next Friday night in south Florida. The full squad will resume competition on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Oklahoma State.
