Team Notes
- The Aggies picked off a pair of passes against Auburn, recording multiple interceptions in a game for the first time since the 2021 South Carolina game.
- The A&M defense held Auburn to 115 yards in the second half, including 41 in the fourth quarter.
- The Aggies held Auburn to 2-of-10 on 3rd down conversions in the second half.
- Texas A&M pass defense held Auburn to 60 yards on 6-of-13 through the air.
- Tonight’s captains at Auburn were TE Max Wright, DL McKinnley Jackson, DB Demani Richardson and DL Isaiah Raikes.
Individual Notes
- Freshman DL LT Overton made the first start of his career and finished the game with a career-high nine tackles, including seven solo takedowns and 1.0 TFL.
- Senior DB Demani Richardson picked off a pass in the end zone on the last play of the first half for his first interception of the season and the fourth of his career.
- Junior DL McKinnley Jackson landed on a loose ball in the third quarter to record the first fumble recovery of his career.
- Jackson also broke up a pass early in the fourth quarter, batting down a pass into the hands of sophomore LB Edgerrin Cooper, who secured it for his first interception of the season and second of his career.
- Junior DB Antonio Johnson knocked the ball loose midway through the fourth quarter for the team’s 10th forced fumble of the season and his second career forced fumble.
- Returning to the field after missing three games with injury, Johnson led the Aggies with 10 tackles, his third double-digit effort of the season and the fifth of his career. He had eight solo tackles, 2.0 TFL, one forced fumble and one hurry.
- Freshman QB Conner Weigman connected with senior WR Jalen Preston late in the fourth quarter for a 17-yard scoring strike. The touchdown reception marked the first on the season for Preston and fourth of his career.
- Sophomore RB Amari Daniels rushed for a career-high 83 yards on 11 carries.
- Freshman LB Martell Harris Jr. recorded his first career sack.
