Texas A&M Ties Program Record with 10 Selections at 2026 NFL Draft
Apr 25, 2026 | Football
PITTSBURGH – With defensive back Will Lee III, offensive lineman Dametrious Crownover and offensive lineman Ar'maj Reed-Adams all being selected on the final day of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday, Texas A&M tied its program record with 10 overall selections at the prestigious event.
The Aggies matched their school record for draft selections, originally set in the 1976 NFL Draft. The total also establishes a new school standard for the seven-round era, which began in 1994. The previous mark in that span was seven selections in 2019.
In all, Texas A&M had four offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, one defensive back, one tight end and one wide receiver selected. The 10 total picks tied Alabama for the most in the SEC and trailed Ohio State's national-leading total of 11. The four offensive linemen selected set a program record, while the three defensive linemen taken marked the second consecutive season the Aggies reached that total.
Lee III was the 129th overall pick in the draft and chosen by the Carolina Panthers as the 29th selection in the fourth round. He becomes the sixth Aggie drafted all-time by the Panthers, and joins Bobby Brown III, Demani Richardson, Ainias Smith, and 2025 second-round selection Nic Scourton in Charlotte.
Crownover was the 196th overall pick in the draft and was chosen by the New England Patriots in the sixth round. He becomes the eighth Texas A&M player chosen all-time by the Patriots and the first Aggie selected by the organization since offensive lineman Layden Robinson was taken in the fourth round during the 2024 NFL Draft.
Reed-Adams was the Aggies' final draft pick at the event after he was selected 241st overall by the Buffalo Bills. He becomes the third Texas A&M player to be chosen by the Bills and first since defensive lineman Ron Edwards was picked by the organization in 2001 in the third round.
