
Six Aggies Selected to Phil Steele Preseason All-SEC Team

COLLEGE STATION – Six members of the Texas A&M football team were named to the 2026 Phil Steele Preseason All-SEC, as announced by the outlet Friday.
Wide receiver Mario Craver was selected to the first team, while Terry Bussey was tabbed to the second team as a kick returner. Offensive lineman Mark Nabou Jr. earned third team distinctions, and safety Dalton Brooks, long snapper Shea Freibaum and quarterback Marcel Reed were named to the fourth team.
Craver returns for his second season in Aggieland after being named a 2025 Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist and earning a selection to the All-SEC Third Team. The Birmingham, Alabama, product registered 917 yards on 59 receptions with four touchdowns, while also rushing for 81 yards on 11 attempts with a score. He notched three 100-plus yard receiving games, including a 207-yard performance in the win at Notre Dame.
Bussey secured his status as one of the league's most respected kick returners, logging 421 yards on 18 returns for an average of 23.4 yards-per-return. He fielded seven punts for 62 yards, including a 29-yard return in the season opener against UTSA. The junior caught 18 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown.
Nabou Jr., a five-year member of the program, returns to Texas A&M for his graduate campaign after making 12 starts as an interior offensive lineman in 2025. The Lynnwood, Washington, native contributed to an offensive line unit that ranked 23rd nationally in total offense and allowed the third-fewest tackles for loss. Throughout his career in Aggieland, Nabou has made 21 starts, most often at the center position.
Brooks was named a team captain for the Maroon & White ahead of the 2026 campaign. Last season, the Shiner, Texas, product totaled 61 tackles and 5.5 tackles for loss, including 3.0 sacks. The Aggies' safety asserted himself as a game changer, securing one interception and two fumble recoveries, while also forcing a fumble.
Freibaum arrives in Aggieland for his senior season after spending three seasons at Oklahoma State. The long snapper from Scottsdale, Arizona, made 30 appearances on special teams during his time with the Cowboys.
Reed enters his fourth season with Texas A&M after leading the Maroon & White to an 11-2 record and an appearance in the College Football Playoffs in 2025. The Aggies' signal caller totaled 3,169 yards through the air with 25 touchdowns to go along with 493 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. The Nashville, Tennessee, native was a finalist for multiple national awards last season and was tabbed to Dave Campbell's Texas Football All-Texas College Team.
Texas A&M opens the 2026 season at Kyle Field against Missouri State on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
