No. 4 Aggies Advance to NCEA Semifinals

OCALA, Fla. - The No. 4 Texas A&M equestrian team cruised past No. 5 Georgia (9-6), 12-6, in the NCEA quarterfinals Thursday morning at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Fla.
With the win, the Aggies (10-4) are on to the semifinals for the first time since 2022 and will face top-seeded TCU tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
The Maroon & White kicked off the meet with a near sweep in Fences, taking the event 4-1. Kate Egan earned the first point of the quarterfinal with an 86.33 on Tigger to improve her season record to 9-5. Devon Thomas and Ali Treuting continued their postseason dominance tacking on two more points with an 89.67 and 80, respectively. Rounding out the scoring for the Maroon & White was Brooke Brombach, who recorded a ride of 85 on Kalvert.
Texas A&M extended their lead in the first half with a 3-0 victory in Reining. Lauren Hanson narrowly defeated her opponent, 71.83-71.67, to put the first point on the board. After a judge's review, Gracie Casebolt totaled a 68.5 to register a point and Keesa Luers logged a 71.5 to push past her opponent. Despite tying, Emmy-Lu Marsh posted the highest score for the Reining squad with a 72.
At the break, the Aggies led 7-1.
In Horsemanship, the Maroon & White secured the meet with a 3-2 win. Cori Cansdale's win boosted her season record to 9-3-1 as the graduate student has not lost in six straight matches. Millie Landon notched the highest score of the meet with a 74.67 and Ella Petak also added a point with a 73.33.
Despite dropping Flat, 3-2, the Aggies went on to defeat Georgia for the second time this season by a score of 12-6. In Flat, freshman Nicole McMillion tallied her first career point with a ride of 82, while Maggie Nealon secured the other point with an 83.
