Men's Tennis
- The American pair of Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram turned in yet another dominant performance, outdueling Czechia's Tomas Machac and Adam Pavlasek (6-2, 6-2) in the semifinals on Thursday. Krajicek and Ram have yet to surrender a set in these Olympic Games and will be looking to become the first Americans to win gold in men's doubles since 2012. Team USA will play on Saturday with time and opponent to be determined.
Women's Basketball
- Joni Taylor and the Women's National Team defeated Belgium, 87-74, in their second game of the Olympics. Yet again, they dominated the glass with a 48-28 advantage on the boards and also nailed 24-of-29 shots from the charity stripe. They Americans will conclude the group phase on Sunday, Aug. 4 at 10:15 a.m.
Swimming
- Shaine Casas advanced to the 200m IM semifinal and closed out his Olympics debut with a ninth-place finish, clocking in at 1:57.82.
- Aviv Barzelay posted a top-20 finish in the 200m back prelims, nearing her personal-best with a time of 2:10.71 to place 18th.
