No. 4 Aggies Fall at No. 8 South Carolina, 11-9

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – The No. 4 Texas A&M equestrian team fell on the road to No. 8 South Carolina, 11-9, Saturday morning at One Wood Farm.
The Aggies (5-4, 1-3) took an early 3-2 lead against the Gamecocks (3-3, 1-3) in Fences following strong performances from Brooke Brombach (85), Kate Egan (83) and Devon Thomas (85). Brombach garnered her seventh career MOP honor and second of the season for her ride on Schnitzel.
In Horsemanship, Ellie Gerbrandt (74.5) and Hanna Olaussen (74.75) each posted points for Texas A&M to even the score at 5-5 heading into the break. Olaussen earned MOP honors for her ride on Brady, marking her fourth career honor and first of the season.
After the break, Anna Harris (72) and Lauren Hanson (70) contributed points in Reining while Devon Thomas (83) and Maggie Nealon (88.5) earned the remaining points for the Aggies in Flat.
Next Up
The Aggies return home to the Hildebrand Equine Complex on Friday, Feb. 14, to face No. 3 Georgia at noon.
