White Takes the Victory in the Annual Maroon & White Scrimmage

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M equestrian team held its annual Maroon & White scrimmage Saturday afternoon at the Hildebrand Equine Complex, with the White team emerging victorious by a score of 13-9.
White claimed four points in Flat, led by strong rides from Nicole McMillion (88), Kacey Murphy (88), Brooke Tegtmeyer (89) and Logan Thomas (86). Maroon posted two points in the event, with Londyn Samlaska earning Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) for her ride of 90 on Gipsy, and Grace Shipman contributing the second point for her team.
On the Horsemanship side, Maroon captured a 5-3 victory to close the gap to 7-7 heading into the intermission. Adasyn Kallay earned MOP honors for her performance of 76 on Gravy. Meagan Braun (78.5), Ella McCullough (74.5), Clara Nemeth (74) and Lila Seider (72) recorded the remaining four points for Maroon. For White, McKinney Atkinson (78.5), Kendall Dirksen (76) and Lenora Roberts (77) scored the team's three points.
Out of the break, the sides were evenly matched in Fences, each putting up two points. Anna Kotler earned MOP honors for Maroon with a score of 91 on Chapman, while Alexa Leong also posted a team high score of 91. Grace Defoe (89) and Alida Treuting (85) accounted for the White team's two points.
White dominated Reining with a 4-0 victory. Anna Harris garnered MOP honors after scoring a 73 on Uvalde. Kennedy Marshall also posted a 73, while Moriah McQueen (71.5) and Dylanne Rodriguez (71.5) rounded out the final points for White.
Prior to the scrimmage, the Aggies recognized their national champions from the '02, '03, '04 and '05 teams.
