Aggies Finish Day One of Tar Heel Intercollegiate in Third Place

CHAPEL HILL – The Texas A&M Aggies men's golf team sits in third place after two rounds of competition at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate, carding a 9-under 551 through 36 holes.
Leading the way for Texas A&M is Wheaton Ennis, who is tied for sixth place at 4-under 136 after rounds of 66 and 70. Ennis opened the tournament with a strong 4-under performance with a bogey-free loop around the par-70, 7,020-yard Finley Golf Club. He followed with a steady second round to remain in contention.
North Carolina leads the field at 29-under 531, followed by Duke at 10-under 550.
Jaime Montojo is just outside the top 10 in 11th place at 3-under 137. He fired rounds of 69 and 68, highlighted by a consistent second round that kept him near the top of the leaderboard.
Shiv Parmar and Kris Kuvaas are tied for 22nd at 1-under 139. Both players delivered balanced performances with near-identical scorecards, helping anchor the Aggies' team total.
Alex Long, competing as an individual, is tied for 38th at 2-over 142, while Aaron Pounds rounds out the Aggie lineup in 62nd at 6-over 146.
