Ennis Claims PING All-America Recognition
Jun 11, 2026 | Men's Golf
NORMAN, Okla. – Wheaton Ennis of the Texas A&M men's golf team added another impressive accolade to his resume earning a spot on the PING All-America Third Team announced Wednesday.
"Wheaton is incredibly deserving of All American recognition," head coach Brian Kortan said. "It reflects the hard work he puts in and the results that followed."
PING All-America honors are awarded to collegiate golfers ranked in the top 30 of their division by the GCAA, typically requiring PING All-Region status. Selection is based on performance data, including a low-60s to 70.0 stroke average, strong head-to-head records, and high statistical consistency.
With his latest honor, Ennis adds a third major postseason accolade to his resume this season, including a second straight selection to the PING All-Central Region Team and his most recent listing as a Golfweek All-America Honorable Mention.
"Wheaton sets a very high bar and holds himself to that standard every day." Kortan said. "All American honors and his selection to the Palmer Cup team are reflective of his outstanding play throughout the season."
The Eagle, Idaho product finished the season ranked No. 29 nationally, peaking at a career-best No. 21 after finishing as the runner-up at the NCAA Bryan Regional. Ennis racked up six top 10 finishes this year, posting a stellar 68.8 adjusted scoring average across 41 rounds.
