AUGUSTA, Ga. – Texas A&M's Vanessa Borovilos made the cut in her Augusta National Women's Amateur debut Thursday after turning in a 36-hole score of 5-under 139 at Champions Retreat to advance to the final round of the championship at historic Augusta National.
Borovilos was tied for sixth and made the cut by four shots. An Aggie has now made the cut at the ANWA for the fourth consecutive year. Leading the tournament was Astersik Talley who was sitting at 11-under 133 going into the last round.
Fernández García-Poggio failed to make the cut, shooting 3-over 147 and tying for 48th. All golfers will have the opportunity to play the practice round at Augusta National Friday.
