MARIETTA, Ga. – The Texas A&M women's tennis team's 2026 signing class earned a No. 1 national ranking from Tennis Recruiting Network, the organization announced Monday.
"We are very excited about next year's class of newcomers," Weaver said. "James (Wilson) and Tommy (Mylnikov) have done a great job attracting a very strong and deep class. The future of our program continues to be bright. The 12th Man will have a lot of new faces to follow and a lot to look forward to. We already know how talented they are, but it's great to see them get recognition from outside the program."
The Maroon & White continues to rank among the nation's elite under head coach Mark Weaver, who enters his 12th season leading this program. Since 2016, the Aggies have produced seven recruiting classes ranked among the nation's best by Tennis Recruiting Network, including No. 2 rankings in 2018 and 2021, along with a No. 3 ranking in 2022.
The 2026 class is highlighted by Yoana Konstantinova and Ruby Cooling, who competed at both Wimbledon and the US Open Junior Championships in 2025. The duo is slotted No. 89 and 104 in the ITF Junior Ranking, respectively. Kori Montoya is designated the No. 2 recruit in Texas and the Gulf States by Tennis Recruiting Network while blue chipper Rachael Smith headlines the fall signees. Five-star Sydney Jara was added to the class this spring.
In determining the top recruiting classes each year, the Tennis Recruiting Network reaches out to junior tennis experts, reporters and writers from across the nation in formulating a top-25 poll. Each panelist submits a ballot with 25 teams ranked in order, with the No. 1 team earning 25 points, the No. 2 team earning 24 points and so on.
The Aggies enter the 2026-27 campaign with the momentum of winning two of the last three NCAA team titles as well as their fifth consecutive SEC regular season crown.
