Stowers Selected as Nominee for ESPYS Best Comeback Athlete

BRISTOL, Conn. – Texas A&M volleyball's Kyndal Stowers was named as a nominee for The ESPYS Best Comeback Athlete award, the organization announced Thursday.
Stowers was selected as one of four nominees for the Best Comeback Athlete, following a journey back from medical retirement to then leading the Maroon & White to their first NCAA title and being named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
The outside hitter came to Aggieland after a year away from the sport following medical retirement from Baylor. She joined the program in the spring of 2025 and became the final puzzle piece for the team's journey to the national crown. The Denton, Texas, native racked up 385 kills in her first season back in action, including 92 in the NCAA Tournament run.
Throughout the 2025 campaign, the junior earned AVCA Second Team All-America honors, NCAA All-Tournament Team selection, All-Region recognition and was named to the All-SEC First Team.
