- Assistant Director of On-Campus Recruiting
Maya Howard joined the Texas A&M football staff in March 2024 as the assistant director of on-campus recruiting.
Howard was selected one of 40 women across the country to be selected as part of the 2026 NFL Women’s Forum, which helps the NFL identify women currently working in college football to join its next generations of leaders.
Howard arrived in Aggieland after serving as director of on-campus recruiting for the Temple University football program, where she organized and oversaw visits for recruits, coordinated campus tours and meetings, managed recruiting materials and played a pivotal role in running football camps.
Her experience includes roles with Nashville Soccer Club, focusing on customer loyalty and season ticket retention, and with SIDELINE Sports, helping athletes and businesses establish and market their Name, Image, and Likeness.
Howard has also worked as a project manager for The B. Myles Group, an associate recruiter with IQTalent and as an intern for Tennessee State University men’s basketball and football, assisting with recruiting, operations, event planning, and marketing.
Howard earned her master’s degree in sports administration & management and her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Tennessee State University. She was named to the Dean’s List at Tennessee State six times and received the President’s Volunteer Award twice.
Her master’s thesis “The Revolutionary Role of Women in Sports” was published in the International Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
As an undergraduate, Howard was involved in the American Red Cross as a youth development counselor and was selected as a member of the Fall 2022 Cohort of The Black Sports Business Academy.
