No. 3 Texas A&M set to host No. 5 Oklahoma State

COLLEGE STATION – The third-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team will be back in action Saturday with a home test against No. 5 Oklahoma State at 11 a.m. at Hildebrand Equine Complex.
The Aggies (8-2, 3-2 SEC) enter Saturday's contest on a two-meet winning streak defeating then-No. 3 Baylor, 10-8, on Feb. 5 and No. 9 South Carolina, 10-9, on Feb. 20.
Against the Gamecocks, sophomore Alex Desiderio and senior Logan Pluhar earned MOP honors in Equitation over Fences and Reining, respectively. The Aggies trailed heading into the final event of the meet, Equitation on the Flat, but won 3-1 to secure the win.
On the season, Desiderio leads A&M in Equitation over Fences with an 8-1 record on the season. Senior Hannah Williams holds a 5-2-2 record in Flat, while sophomore Avery Ellis and senior Rachel Lucht lead Horsemanship with five wins. Senior Ashley Dotson looks to continue her unbeaten season in Reining at 10-0-1.
The Cowgirls are currently 6-3 (5-1 Big 12) on the season and are coming off 13-6 loss at Baylor. The Aggies will be looking to avenge their last home non-conference loss which came at the hands of Oklahoma State, 11-9, in 2014.
