LOS ANGELES, Calif. – No. 16 Texas A&M faces one of its toughest early season tests Sunday when the Aggies (5-0) face No. 10 USC (4-0) at the Galen Center.
The trip to Los Angeles continues a period of heavy travel for the Aggies, who opened the season at Ramstein Air Base in Germany on Nov. 10 during the Armed Forces Classic and began this week on the East Coast in New York where they defeated Oklahoma State and Penn State to win the Progressive Legends Classic.
Sunday's match up vs. USC will be the first true road contest this season for Texas A&M, which has already earned neutral site wins over then-No. 11 West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Penn State.
The contest will be televised on Pac-12 Network with JB Long calling the play-by-play action and Don MacLean providing color commentary. Additionally, radio coverage will be available on the Aggie Sports Network, which can be heard locally in the Bryan/College Station area on WTAW (1620 AM).
USC enters the affair unbeaten on the season and is riding a 21-game winning streak vs. non-conference foes inside the Galen Center. The Trojans were picked to finish second in the 2017-18 Pac-12 preseason poll by league media, marking the program's highest ranking ever. USC's current No. 10 ranking represented its highest ranking at any point in a season since the Trojans finishing the 1991-92 campaign at No. 8.

SETTING THE SCENE / NOTABLES
• The Aggies travel west in search of their second win over a ranked-opponent this season as well as their victory first over a top-10 opponent (AP rankings) since a 62-61 win over No. 10 Gonzaga on Nov. 26, 2015, during the Battle4Atlantis.• In their other meeting with a ranked foe this season, A&M defeated No. 11 West Virginia, 88-65, on Nov. 10 at Ramstein Air Base in Germany during the Armed Forces Classic.
• The Aggies enter the contest ranked No. 16 in the AP Top 25 and No. 19 in the USA Today/Coaches Poll ... USC, meanwhile, appeared at No. 10 in both polls.
• Just a couple weeks into the season, A&M has quickly built one of the country's most impressive résumés with three wins over three high-major opponents - West Virginia, Oklahoma State and Penn State … The Aggies remain the only team nationally to have notched three wins vs. high-major opponents at this point in the season.
• Friday's 81-65 win over Pepperdine at Reed Arena saw the Maroon & White debut of redshirt freshman guard JJ Caldwell ... The Houston native contributed four points, three assists and a pair of rebounds in 16 minutes of game action.
• A&M's recent trip to Brooklyn for the championship rounds of the Progressive Legends Classic saw the return of Robert Williams to the hardwood after serving a two-game suspension to start the season ... • Give A&M a sixth consecutive win to start the 2017-18 campaign and tie the Aggies' best start to a season under Billy Kennedy alongside similar 6-0 starts in the 2013-14 & 2015-16 seasons.• Additionally, a win vs. USC would give A&M just its third ever road win at a top-10 opponent … Previously, A&M has knocked off No. 6 Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., on Feb. 3, 2007, and No. 5 Texas in Austin, Texas, on Jan. 30, 1982.
SERIES HISTORY VS. USC (USC LEADS 2-0)
