COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's basketball team will hit the road for the first time this season. The Aggies start the week-long trip facing No. 3 Gonzaga before heading further north for the Vancouver Showcase where they will take on Minnesota and Washington. A&M is coming off of a last-second loss to UC Irvine that saw four different Aggies score in double figures, including transfer Josh Nebo who notched his first double-double in the Maroon & White. The Aggies will look to slow the high-scoring Bulldog offense as Gonzaga remains at home for the third straight game.
Texas A&M Quick Hits
• Josh Nebo recorded the first double-double of his Aggie career, leading A&M with 15 and 10 against UC Irvine.
• Savion Flagg matched or set a new career high in five different categories, leading the Aggies in scoring (24) and rebounding (16) in the season opener.
• The win over Savannah State marked the 19th consecutive season Texas A&M has started the year with a victory.
• The Aggies saw five newcomers make their Texas A&M debut against Savannah State, including Brandon Mahan, Christian Mekowulu, Josh Nebo, Zach Walker and John Walker III.

• The Aggies are 13-7 all-time against West Coast Conference teams after earning an 81-65 win over Pepperdine last season.
• Prior to the meeting with the Waves a year ago, Gonzaga was the last WCC team A&M had faced.
Aggies Add Four in 2019 Signing Class
• Texas A&M has added four newcomers as Kobe Brown, Chris Harris, Jr., Tyreek Smith and Sahvir Wheeler signed National Letters of Intent and will join the Aggies next season.
• Brown is a Huntsville, Ala., native in his senior year at Lee High School. Coached by his father, Greg Brown, the 6-7, 200-pound forward is the No. 79 overall player on ESPN's Top 100 list and the No. 3 prospect in the state of Alabama.
• Harris is in his fourth year at top-25 South Garland High School. The Garland, Texas native is a four-star recruit and ranked No. 90 overall by Rivals. Harris, a 6-3, 189-pound guard, averaged 19.1 points per game as a junior.
• Smith, a 6-9, 205-pound forward, helped his Trinity Christian School team to a state title game appearance as a junior, averaging 20.8 points and 12.9 rebounds. The Baton Rouge, La., native is a four-star recruit according to Rivals and 247sports, slated as the No. 91 overall prospect.
• Wheeler has been tabbed as the No. 75 player on ESPN's Top 100 and the No. 8 prospect in the state of Texas. The 5-9, 175-pound guard helped his Houston Christian High School team win the SPC state championship as a junior and was named to the NBPA Top 100 Camp All-Star team.
Texas A&M vs. Ranked Teams
• The Aggies finished the 2017-18 season with a 5-4 record against ranked teams, including three victories over top-10 teams.
• The five wins matched a program single-season record set by the 1978-79 team for victories over ranked opponents.
Flagg Has Career Night in Opener
• Sophomore Savion Flagg put on a show in the season-opening win over Savannah State, setting a new career high in five different categories.
• Flagg led A&M with 24 points and 16 rebounds to record the second double-double of his career. Ten of his team-best points total came off of dunks.
Newcomers Shine in Debuts
• Five newcomers saw the floor for the Aggies in the season opener, including Brandon Mahan, Christian Mekowulu, Josh Nebo, Zach Walker and John Walker III.
• Mekowulu earned the start in his first game in the Maroon & White, nearing a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds.
• Walker III and Nebo gave the Aggies a lift off the bench as they each scored 10 points and combined for five blocks.
