Women’s Basketball Hits the Road to Take on No. 15 West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Texas A&M women's basketball team hits the road for its first road test of the season at WVU Coliseum against the No. 15 West Virginia Mountaineers Friday at 6 p.m.
The Aggies (2-1) are fresh off a dominant 86-38 victory against Western Michigan where they held the Broncos to 21.7% from the field and shot 57.1% themselves from the floor. Sahara Jones leads the Aggies in points (12.7) and rebounds (9.7) per game.
The Maroon & White is No. 5 in the country in blocks per game (8.3) with Aicha Coulibaly (2.7) and Lauren Ware (2.3) pacing the Aggies in swats per contest. Kyndall Hunter adds a scoring punch from the bench, averaging 10.0 points per game in just 17.3 minutes each outing.
West Virginia (3-0) is No. 1 in the country in turnovers forced per game at 35.3. With a win, the Aggies would secure their first ranked road win since the 2020-21 season.
