BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 9 Texas A&M Volleyball team hosts No. 2 Texas for a top-10 meeting of the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown Friday evening at Reed Arena with first serve set for 6:30 p.m.

The Aggies extended their undefeated streak to five, following their 11th sweep of the season at Ole Miss last time out. The win secured the programs best start in conference play since they joined the SEC in 2012, as they boast a 9-1 ledger in league play.

Maddie Waak was the standout in the victory over the Rebels, as the setter dished 45 assists in the game averaging out to 15 per set. She also helped her attackers have efficient showings, as the group hit .336, their ninth time hitting over .300 this season and fourth in conference play.

Logan Lednicky continued to climb the Maroon & White's record book, as she jumped from No. 8 to No. 6 all-time in the game after landing the 1,480th kill of her career. The senior ended with a game-high 16 kills, while Kyndal Stowers also contributed double-digits with 12 and Emily Hellmuth added eight which helped her reach 1,000 for her career.
