Cos-Okpalla Earns Third SEC Player of the Week Honor
Nov 03, 2025 | Volleyball
BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M volleyball's Ifenna Cos-Okpalla swept two conference awards for the third time this season, as she was named SEC Player of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week following a pair of ranked wins, the league office announced Monday afternoon.

Cos-Okpalla continued to separate herself among the elite in the SEC, as she claimed her sixth and seventh weekly honors of the season after defeating No. 2 Texas and No. 16 Tennessee, bringing her career total to a staggering 13. The senior racked up 22 blocks, 21 kills hitting at .571 percent and two aces in nine sets of work.

Opening the week with the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown, the Aggie middle blocker came out firing versus the Longhorns registering career highs in both kills and points recording 15 and 19.5, respectively. She also logged nine blocks in the contests which is the most an individual has recorded versus Texas during SEC play this season.

Cos-Okpalla continued to wreak havoc two days later versus No. 16 Tennessee, blocking a season-high 13 swings which also tied her own program record for blocks in a four-set match. The Flower Mound, Texas, native's stuffs were timely, as she recorded three in Texas A&M's final six points to secure the fourth set and match. She also added six kills with zero errors on 12 swings to hit over .500 percent in back-to-back games.

Cos-Okpalla and the Aggies return to action Friday, as they head to Auburn for an evening matchup with the Tigers at 6 p.m.
