Aggies Close Non-Conference Play Hosting Prairie View

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's basketball team is set to close out non-conference play at Reed Arena Monday night, taking on Prairie View at 7 p.m.
The Maroon & White are coming off a 118-77 victory over East Texas A&M a week ago. The Aggies shot a season-high 64.9-percent (48-74) from the field and 50-percent (14-28) from 3-point range in the win as Rashaun Agee led the way with 21 points, adding eight rebounds. Pop Isaacs chipped in 15 points, going 5-of-7 from beyond the arc. The Maroon & White matched their season-high with 32 assists, led by Isaacs and Jacari Lane, who tallied six apiece.
Texas A&M has seen a big lift from its bench throughout the season, as it leads the nation averaging 44.0 points per game. The Aggies have had at least 25 points come from non-starters in 11 of the team's 12 games this season.
The Maroon & White have dished out at least 20 assists in seven of their last eight games to help them rank first nationally, averaging 22.2 assists per game. Lane has been leading the way in the category tallying 46 assists while only committing 10 turnovers on the year. His 4.6 assist/turnover ratio ranks eighth in the country and leads the SEC.
The Aggies lead the all-time series against the Panthers 15-0 with 14 of those pervious meeting being played in Aggieland. The two teams most recently met in 2023 when Texas A&M earned a 79-54 victory over Prairie View.
