Women’s Basketball Heads to Mississippi State for Sunday Clash

STARKVILLE – The Texas A&M women's basketball team hits the road to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs Sunday at 2 p.m. inside Humphrey Coliseum.
The Aggies (10-15, 3-10 SEC) are led by Janae Kent who is averaging 11.2 points per game over the last six contests. On the defensive end, Lauren Ware has been a force at the rim, swatting 1.8 shots per game and has Texas A&M ranked No. 27 in the country in blocks per night (4.5).
The Maroon & White will be looking for their first win against Mississippi State (18-9, 5-8 SEC) in the regular season since the 2020-21 campaign. However, they have beaten the Bulldogs each of the last two years in the SEC Tournament to advance to the quarterfinals.
Mississippi State is led by Jerkaila Joran who is pouring in 16.2 points per game this season. The Bulldogs are 9-3 this season at home with all three losses coming during league play.
