TYLER, Texas – Texas A&M football's Trey Zuhn III was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Preseason Watch List, announced Wednesday by SPORTyler and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Selection Committee.
Zuhn, a two-time captain, has established himself as one of the premier offensive linemen in the country. The fifth-year senior has garnered numerous preseason recognitions, including the Outland Trophy Watch List, Lombardi Award Watch List and was named to the Preseason All-SEC Second Team by the league coaches and media. Zuhn leads the team with 37 career starts he enters his fourth year as the Aggies' fixture at left tackle.
In 2024 he earned All-SEC Third Team honors after leading a dominant front that powered the Aggies to over 2,500 rushing and passing yards. Texas A&M was one-of-three SEC teams and one-of-18 in FBS to accomplish the feat. The Maroon & White ranked second in the SEC in rushing, averaging 195.5 yards per game and 27 rushing touchdowns.
Zuhn graduated from Texas A&M University in December 2024 with a degree in finance is currently continuing his education. Beyond the classroom and the football field, Zuhn has shown a strong commitment to giving back to the community. He has volunteered with The Big Event, the largest one-day, student-run service project in the nation, where he joined fellow students in making a positive impact across the Bryan–College Station area. His service also includes time with the Brazos Valley Food Bank, helping to provide meals to those in need, and participation in a food drive benefiting the Just One Project, a Nevada-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity. Through these efforts, Zuhn has demonstrated the same discipline, leadership and team-first mindset in the community that he displays on the field.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community and tenacity; specifically, tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals. In addition, the nominee must meet one or more of the following criteria: born in Texas and/or graduated from a Texas High School and/or played at a Texas-based junior college or four-year college.
