
No. 3 Aggies Set for Road Tests at Ole Miss and No. 10 LSU

OXFORD – The No. 3 Texas A&M women's tennis team hits the road for a two-match weekend, opening at Ole Miss Friday with first serve at 3 p.m., before traveling to face No. 10 LSU Sunday at noon.
The Aggies enter the weekend with a 16-3 overall record and an 8-1 mark in SEC play. The Maroon & White are coming off a dominant 6-1 victory over Kentucky continuing their strong stretch in conference action.
Texas A&M features four ranked singles players, led by No. 2 Lucciana Perez, who remains one of the top players in the nation and is 17-0 in all singles matches this season. The Aggies also boast No. 31 Mia Kupres, No. 54 Ilinca Amariei and No. 96 Violeta Martinez. In doubles, the duo of Kupres/Perez leads the way at No. 8 nationally, while Amariei/Martinez hold a No. 75 ranking.
Ole Miss enters the contest with a 9-7 overall record and a 3-6 mark in SEC play. The Rebels are coming off a 4-0 sweep over Missouri State and are led by No. 15 Emily Welker in singles play. In doubles, the pair of Andrea Nova/Welker checks in at No. 23 nationally.
Sunday's matchup features a top 10 showdown as LSU enters with a 12-5 overall record and a 5-4 mark in conference play. The Tigers are coming off a 5-2 win over Vanderbilt and feature a deep lineup with four ranked singles players, including No. 45 Kayla Cross, No. 58 Cadence Brace, No. 88 Ella McDonald and No. 104 Kinaa Graham. In doubles, LSU is highlighted by the No. 11 pair of McDonald/Cross along with the No. 67 duo of McDonald/Kenna Erickson
