COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The No. 19 Texas A&M softball team welcomes Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to the Aggie Softball Complex Tuesday for a doubleheader that begins at 5 p.m.
The Aggies (16-5) come off of a 3-2 weekend after hosting the Texas A&M Invitational last weekend. A&M dropped two close contests to BYU and cruised to a pair of wins against Northern Colorado and one against Monmouth.
Junior Macie Morrow is hitting .347 with 25 hits and 21 runs.
Sophomore Rebecca Arbnio (7-3) leads the pitching staff with a 2.64 ERA and two shutouts. Junior Rhi Kliesing posts the most strikeouts with 66 in 50.1 innings pitched. Freshman Melissa Dumezich is 3-0 on the year.
The Islanders (15-6) come into the twin bill after going 2-1 against Central Arkansas over the weekend. This will be the team's third contest against a ranked opponent as it dropped two to No. 10 Stanford in its opening weekend of play.
A&M-Corpus Christi is led by Cassie Redman with a .458 average. Hannah Schwarz (.435) and Caley Jeter (.408) also hit above .400. Schwarz records a team-high 27 hits, 15 runs and 11-of-14 stolen bases, while Jeter lead the squad with four doubles, 16 RBIs and 14 walks. In the circle, Elena Crabtree (9-2) is the go-to pitcher with a 3.08 ERA and 44 K's in 77.1 innings pitched.
The Aggies are 6-0 against the Islanders and last faced them on April 11, 2007 when A&M cruised to a 9-0 victory.

Parking for softball games is free and is available in the Reed Arena parking lots. Exceptions include days when there is conflict with home baseball games.
