COLLEGE STATION – Riding a nine-game winning streak to the top of the SEC standings, No. 10 Texas A&M looks to remain perfect in SEC play when the Aggies host Missouri on Saturday at 3 p.m. inside Reed Arena.
The contest will be nationally televised on SEC Network with Dave Baker calling the play-by-play and Kyle Macy providing color commentary. Additionally, radio coverage will be provided on the Aggie Sports Network, which can be heard locally in the Bryan/College Station area on WTAW (1620 AM).
After a record-setting crowd of 13,888 filled Reed Arena to see the Aggies defeat LSU Tuesday night, general public tickets for Saturday's match-up against Missouri are sold out with approximately 5,000 tickets set aside for current Texas A&M students with a sports pass.
Fans in attendance will be treated to a halftime performance by the Junior Dance Campers, ages 6-13, while all kids sixth grade and younger can enjoy Kid's Court in the men's practice gym from 2-2:40 p.m.
Texas A&M (16-2) enters the weekend having tasted nothing by victory on the hardwood since Dec. 5th and owning first place in the SEC standings with a perfect 6-0 league mark. The Aggies stand out as one of the best ball sharing teams in the nation, ranking fourth nationally with an average of 19.1 assists per contest. Defensively, the Aggies rank first in the SEC, allowing just 64.5 points per game in league play, while averaging 77.7 points on the offensive end.
Additionally, led by the senior backcourt duo of Anthony Collins (5.7 assist-to-turnover ratio) and Alex Caruso (2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio) Texas A&M paces the SEC in turnover margin (+4.8) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6) during SEC play.
Reigning SEC Player of the Week Jalen Jones scored 20 points during Tuesday's win over LSU to post his seventh performance of 20 or more points this season. The Dallas native leads the Aggies and ranks third in the league with a 20.7 point-per-game average during SEC play.
Missouri (8-10; 1-4 SEC), meanwhile, comes to Aggieland trying to shake off a three-game losing skid that began after the Tigers notched their first SEC win, a 76-61 victory over Auburn in Columbia, Mo., on Jan. 9.
Led by second-year head coach Kim Anderson, the Tigers feature two players in double-digit scoring on the season – freshman forward Kevin Puryear (11.5 points per game) and junior guard Wes Clark (10.3 points per game).

• The Aggies' 16-2 record is the second-best through 18 games in school history, trailing only the 1919-20 team which went 19-0.• Texas A&M climbed into the top 10 of both the AP Top 25 (No. 10) and USA Today Coaches Poll (No. 8) this week ... The last time the Aggies were in the top 10 in the Associated Press poll came on Jan. 14, 2008, when they appeared at No. 10 ... In the USA Today/Coaches poll the No. 8 position is the best since the Aggies reached as high as No. 6 during the 2006-07 season.
• Texas A&M appeared at the No. 7 position in the Jan. 21st edition of the NCAA daily RPI report.
• A&M enters the weekend riding an nine-game winning streak that dates back to Dec. 12th's victory over Baylor ... The streak stands out as A&M's longest since the Aggies ripped off 13 consecutive victories from Nov. 26, 2010 to Jan. 15, 2011.
• The 6-0 start to SEC play is Texas A&M's best beginning to conference play since the 1993-94 season, when A&M won its first seven straight Southwest Conference games.
• Senior Jalen Jones was named SEC Player of the Week for the second time this season on Monday after averaging 19 points and nine rebounds in wins over Florida and at Georgia ... Against the Gators, Jones made 8-of-13 shots from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, to finish with a game-high 26 points and post his sixth 20-point outing of the season ... The Dallas native followed up that performance with his 12th career double-double (third at A&M) at Georgia, scoring 12 points and pulling down a season-best 12 boards. For the week, Jones shot 46.2 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from long range.
SERIES HISTORY VS. MISSOURI (MISSOURI LEADS 16-13)
• Saturday will be the 30th meeting between the Aggies and Tigers and the seventh as members of the SEC.• Last season, the Aggies swept a pair of games from the Tigers, winning 62-50 in College Station on Jan. 21 before defeating Missouri 83-61 in Columbia on Feb. 7.
• At Reed Arena, the Aggies own a 7-3 lead in the series, including a 70-68 A&M victory on Feb. 7, 2013, during the most recent meeting in College Station.

A&M CLIMBS INTO THE TOP 10; FIRST TIME SINCE 2008
Entering the season with high aspirations, Texas A&M got off to a hot start and raced out to a 4-0 record allowing it to climb back into the Nov. 23rd edition of the Associated Press rankings at No. 25.It marked the first time the Aggies have appeared in the rankings since they were No. 22 in the AP rankings on Dec. 12, 2011.
Texas A&M is currently ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press & No. 8 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. It stands out as the first top-10 showing for the Aggies since January of 2008 as well as the highest spot in the USA Today Caches Poll since the 2006-07 campaign, when the Aggies reached as high as No. 6.
