BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Fightin' Texas Aggie softball team is set to host the Texas A&M Invitational beginning Thursday against the Southeastern Louisiana Lions at 5:15 p.m. at Davis Diamond.
No. 17 Texas A&M (9-0) welcomes Kansas (4-5-1), North Dakota State (7-7), Southeastern Louisiana (8-1), St. Thomas (1-9) and UTSA (2-8) to the Brazos Valley. Fans can visit 12thman.com for the full slate of games at the Texas A&M Invitational.
SEC WEEKLY HONORS
Allie Enright and Emiley Kennedy garnered SEC weekly honors on Feb. 19., marking career first recognitions for the juniors. Enright was named Co-Player of the Week and Kennedy was Co-Pitcher of the Week. Enright hit 8-for-14, including three doubles, three RBI and two walks, while striking out once in 15 plate appearances over the weekend. Most notably, she was 3-for-4 at the dish in two wins against No. 14 Oregon. Kennedy held opposing batters to a .138 batting average in four appearances, including two complete game wins and two saves. She pitched 16.2 innings allowing only one run and five walks against 66 batters faced, including 9.0 innings and 15 strikeouts in two outings against No. 14 Oregon.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
Texas A&M ranks nationally in all four recognized polls, sitting at No. 13 in Softball America, No. 16 in D1 Softball, No. 17 in ESPN/USA Softball and No. 18 in the NFCA polls. The Aggies rank top 25 in the nation in numerous categories including, No. 6 walks (44), No. 16 home runs (12), No. 20 on-base percentage (.446), No. 23 slugging percentage (.569), No. 23 strikeout-to-walk ratio (3.47) and No. 25 stolen bases (19). Kennedy is top 15 in the nation in multiple categories including No. 2 in shutouts (2), No. 4 in saves (2) and No. 12 in strikeouts (35), which leads the SEC in all three categories. Enright ranks No. 11 in the nation with a .609 batting average and No. 13 in the country with a 1.174 slugging percentage, which ranks second-most in the SEC both categories.
HOWDY OLD FRIEND
Kansas head coach Jennifer McFalls is an Aggie softball alum (1991-94) and earned First Team All-American honors in 1993. The Texas A&M hall of famer led the Maroon & White in hits and batting average in all four seasons. McFalls registered 279 career hits, which still stands as a Texas A&M program record, while her career batting average of .379 ranks No. 2 in Aggie history. Post collegiately, McFalls was a member of the U.S. National Team from 1994-2000 and most notably she scored the game-winning run in the USA's victory over Japan in the gold-medal game at the 2000 Olympics. McFalls has coached six seasons at Kansas and has a career record of 99-143-1.

Parking is free for all games in Lot 100m. Fans are highly encouraged to arrive early and have patience for the expected traffic and parking congestion around Reed Arena.
