Crooks Earns SEC All-Freshman Status

BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M soccer standout Riley Crooks earned a spot on the SEC All-Freshman Team the league announced Thursday.
 
Crooks was a stalwart as an Aggie center back, starting all 17 matches. She ranked second on the team with 1,505 mutes played. Crooks ranged the backline the full 90 minutes in 15 matches, including all 10 SEC contests and the final 12 matches of the season.
 
With Crooks marshaling the back seven, Texas A&M registered five shutouts, including three in SEC action. The most notable clean sheets were in a 1-0 victory over Texas to earn the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown point and a 0-0 draw at No. 8 South Carolina. The Aggies posted a 1.18 goals-against average for the season.
 
Offensively, Crooks contributed with an assist in the Aggies' 2-1 victory over UConn.
