BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 4 Texas A&M softball team dropped game two to No. 3 Florida, 12-4, in six innings Saturday evening at Davis Diamond. Sunday's rubber match is slated for a 12 p.m. first pitch.

Texas A&M (21-3, 1-1 SEC) loaded the bases with one out in the bottom half after Kennedy Powell singled, while Mac Barbara and Mya Perez followed with walks. Allie Enright hit a bouncer back to the pitcher when the throw home for the force out sailed high as Powell scored. KK Dement cut the deficit in half with a sac-fly in foul territory that scored Barbara.
After entering the circle with one out in the top of the first inning, Sydney Lessentine tossed two scoreless innings before the Gators found her number plating three runs on four hits in the top of the fourth before adding a run in the fifth as the Aggies trailed 8-2 heading into the bottom of the fifth.
The Maroon & White scored a pair after Barbara drove in Powell and Dement scored Scout Lovell via sac-fly to make it an 8-4 game after five frames. The ensuing inning, Florida hit a 2-RBI single and a two-run home run to enter run-rule territory before the Aggies were sat down in order as the game ended in six innings, 12-4.
