No. 8 Aggies Drop a 4-2 Decision to No. 7 Texas

WACO – The No. 8 Texas A&M men's tennis team dropped a 4-2 decision to No. 7 Texas at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship at the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center Friday afternoon.
The Aggies (6-2) started the day off on the right foot, picking up the doubles point after taking two straight courts. Tiago Pires and Kriish Tyagi struck first on court 3, taking down Evan Burnett and Abel Forger, 6-2. Theo Papamalamis and Togan Tokac clinched the point, defeating Sebastian Gorzny and Lucas Marionneau, 6-3, on court 1.
Moving into singles, the Maroon & White struck first, with Markus Molder claiming a straight-set win over Mariano Dedura-Palomer on court 6, 7-6(3), 6-3. Texas (6-3) responded to the challenge by taking four consecutive courts to advance.
The Aggies now move to the back draw, where they will face LSU at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
