No. 15 Softball Hosts Sam Houston in Midweek Action

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 15 Texas A&M softball team is set to host Sam Houston on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Davis Diamond.
Tuesday's game will be streamed on SEC Network+, while fans can also listen on the 12th Man Mobile app or locally on Willy 1550 AM.

SERIES HISTORY
Texas A&M (22-9) boasts a 108-15 all-time record against Sam Houston (21-14), including a 60-5 mark at home. The Maroon & White have won the previous four meetings and are 8-2 in the last 10 matchups. Texas A&M run-ruled Sam Houston, 10-0, in five innings last season at Davis Diamond. Mya Perez paced the offense, going 2-for-2 with a double and a home run, totaling six RBI and scoring two runs.

Kelsey Mathis paced the team with a .625 batting average, while Mathis, Frankie Vrazel and Ariel Kowalewski each recorded five hits and at least one hit in every game of the series. Micaela Wark added a pair of home runs and led the team with seven RBI, while Mya Perez posted a team-best .750 on-base percentage with eight walks. Texas A&M batted .400 over the three-game set and registered double-digit hits in consecutive games to close out the series.
Sidne Peters made two appearances, earning the win each time. She totaled 10.0 innings with 12 strikeouts and held opposing batters to a .139 average. Sydney Lessentine was the lone Aggie pitcher to appear in all three games, earning one win and a save. Lessentine tossed a complete game to clinch the series, allowing just one run while striking out three. The pitching staff held Kentucky to a .189 batting average.
