Dickson’s School Record Highlights Final Day of Alumni Muster

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M track & field's Camryn Dickson broke the women's 200m school record on the final day of the Alumni Muster meet Saturday at E.B. Cushing Stadium.
Dickson went out with a bang in her final race on the Cushing track, downing assistant coach Liv Ekponé's 200m school record that stood for 12 years after clocking 22.15. Her mark beats the previous programs best by 0.08 seconds, which also broke both the meet and facility records and ranks third in the nation this year.
Zaza Nnamdi continued his record-breaking season for the Aggies, as he downed both the meet and facility records in the javelin. He recorded a staggering three throws over the 80m mark, highlighted by a toss of 83.31m/273-4 in the fifth round. The senior now holds the top four marks in the country this year in the event.
Bradie Menegatti had a career day in the high jump, joining the 6ft clearance club. She leaped 1.83m/6-0 on her third-and-final attempt which won her the event and landed her at No. 9 in A&M history. Milena Chevallier ensured second in the event, clearing 1.77m/5-9.75.
A&M's dominance in the field continued in the long jump, as the Maroon & White swept the men's and women's titles. Khybah Dawson had a career day to ensure his win, leaping 7.93m/26-0.25 which entered him at No. 9 on the all-time list. On the women's side, Morgan Davis secured the win with a wind-aided leap of 6.42m/21-0.75, while Machaeda Linton was right behind in second with a mark of 6.24m/20-5.75.
The Aggies got off to a hot start on the track, as the women's 4x100m quartet of Anya Jackson, Dickson, Aysha Shaheed and Jasmine Montgomery crossed the line with a meet-record time of 43.11. The men took third, as Matthew Maldima, David Foster, Blake Holland and Keanu Jones crossed the line in 39.52.
Youssef Asslouj claimed the first win for the men on the track after topping the standings in the 1,500m with a time of 3:43.06 which moved him up from No. 11 to No. 5 in the Aggie record book. Alexandra Fox was the highest finisher for the women after a career-best mark of 4:25.84 which landed the freshman at No. 12 all-time.
Jaiya Covington showed out on her senior day, clocking a 13.18 in the 100m hurdles to add to the Maroon & White's win tally.
Moving back to the interior of the track, Dickson's stellar day also included a personal-best time of 11.04 to secure the win in the 100m and improve her mark at No. 5 in the Aggie record book. Jackson finished second in the race with a career best of 11.21. Foster was the top ranked member for the Maroon & White, crossing the line in 10.31 which was good for second.
Etoro Bassey added the fourth victory in the field in the men's high jump, as the freshman cleared 2.17m/7-1.5 to set a new meet record. Daniel Falode took that momentum to the triple jump, securing the title with a career-best mark of 16.07m/52-8.75 that jumps him to No. 11 in the all-time list.
Abigail Martin added a win on the weekend in the women's discus following a toss of 53.92m/176-11.
Tacking on the 13th and 14th victories of the day were the 4x400m relay teams. The women were up first, as Lacarthea Cooper, Tyler Lowe, Peace Nwaelehia and Jahnile Registre crossed the line in 3:30.37. The men capped off a successful weekend on top courtesy of Eric Hemphill III, Ja'Qualon Scott, Iliya Dryaba and Kimar Farquharson who ran 3:03.68 for their win.
The 400m groups were impressive capturing four of the top five finishes, headlined by Cooper who ran a personal-best time of 51.36 to place second and helped her climb to No. 8 in the record books. She was followed by Registre (51.88), Lowe (52.37) and Nwaelehia (52.43). On the men's side Farquharson placed second in 45.42, while Hemphill was fourth (45.91) and Musa Isah was fifth (46.12).
The pole vault group turned in a trio of impressive performances, as Aleksandr Solovev finished as the top collegiate and second overall after a clearance of 5.50m/18-0.5. In the women's event, Lily Carlson tied her outdoor best of 4.30m/14-1.25 to finish fourth, while Ava Riche had a career event after soaring over 4.18m/13-8.5 to jump to No. 6 in program history.
Blake Holland built on the Aggies' productive day, finishing as the top collegiate and third overall in the men's 200m with a personal-best time of 20.67.
