
Sorrell Tabbed All-American by College Baseball Foundation

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Texas A&M outfielder Caden Sorrell earned All-America honors from the College Baseball Foundation, as announced by the organization Wednesday morning.
Sorrell powered the Aggie offense in 55 starts, slashing .341/.434/.753 with 67 runs scored and a team-high 76 RBI. He became the first player in Texas A&M history since 1999 to record 20 doubles and 20 home runs, belting 20 two-baggers and 23 long balls. The Highland Village, Texas, native logged 21 multi-RBI games and added 23 multi-hit performances. In 29 SEC starts, he posted a .317 batting average with 12 doubles, 10 home runs and 35 RBI. His efforts in conference play earned him nods to the All-SEC First Team and All-SEC Defensive Team.
The lefty slugger continues to add to his extensive list of postseason accolades after being named an All-American by every major outlet thus far. Sorrell was also tabbed the District VII Player of the Year by the National College Baseball Writers Association.
